November 2024 Update
Construction bids were opened on November 14, 2024.
Construction is anticipated to commence early Spring 2025. The street improvement effort will be comprised of performing a full section reconstruction along Marine Ave. and cold milling (grinding) the existing asphalt roadway and overlaying new rubberized asphalt along 14th Streets. Additional project scope includes but is not limited to installing pedestrian access ramps; rolled curb, and bulb-out construction. The parking pad area behind the proposed rolled curb may need to be regraded to join the back of rolled curb. A project construction update notice will be prepared and sent out to residents prior to start of construction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What time does the work start and end?
Work will occur daily between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM throughout the duration of the construction project.
Can I access my front driveway while the repairs are underway?
Driveway access will be restricted when the contractor is placing concrete. If access restriction is required at any time during construction notification will be provided by the contractor 72 hours before. If you need to use your vehicle on the day(s) of repairs to your street, we suggest you park it on an adjacent street outside the work area before 7:30 AM. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
When can I walk/drive on the concrete?
Concrete takes time to cure. Any surface impacts that happen before the street has had time to cure will leave a permanent mark on the street, as well as on your tires and shoes. Please do not drive, ride a bike, walk on, or walk your pet on the concrete until the contractor has removed all barricades and traffic cones, which will indicate the street is open to vehicles and pedestrians.
Will there be No Parking/Tow Away signs posted?
Yes. Where applicable, observe the date(s) on NO PARKING/TOW AWAY signs carefully. “No Parking” signs will be posted at parking spaces 72 hours before any scheduled work. Vehicles parked in posted areas will be towed in order to allow the work to commence as scheduled.
Can I discharge water into the street?
No, please do not discharge water during the repairs.
