Police and Fire Station Open House

Meet the men and women who provide public safety and emergency response service to Manhattan Beach, and see the equipment and vehicles they use day-to-day in safeguarding our community.

Highlights of the day include a Firefighting demonstration and a SWAT Robot demonstration. There will be an extensive display of public safety vehicles including: Fire Trucks, Paramedic Van, SWAT Van, Beach Patrol Rhino (all terrain vehicle), Beach Quadrunner, Patrol Car, Traffic Motorcycle, T-3 (electric standup vehicle) and a special unveiling of the Mobile Command Center (recently donated to MBPD/MBFD by the MB Property Owner’s Association). In addition, Police and Fire personnel will display their specialized equipment used for SWAT, Animal Aid, Rescues, and Firefighting.

Residents will have the opportunity to meet members of the MBFD and MBPD including Firefighters/Paramedics, SWAT Team, Motor/Traffic Officers, Parking and Animal Control, as well as volunteers that support the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), Neighborhood Watch, Victim Assistance Team, and the Volunteers in Policing program.

The Fire Station and Police Jail will be open for guided tours throughout the day and kids will receive stickers and balloons. Don’t forget your camera for photo opportunities on a police motorcycle or with your favorite police officer or firefighter!

City Officials (the Mayor, Police, and Fire Chiefs) will be addressing those in attendance at 11:15 AM.
