The City’s 2010-11 Sewer Repair Project is starting soon! The project includes sewer repairs at 14 street locations in the City’s Tree and Sand Sections and will replace partial sections of existing sewer main that are damaged. The repairs consist of excavation, removal and replacement of damaged pipe sections, and restoration of existing pavement. The repair work will take place in the roadway or sidewalk areas adjacent to the addresses listed below:

ESTIMATED PROJECT SCHEDULE – August 15, 2011 to December 22, 2011 Each location will take approximately 2-3 working days to complete the individual repairs. Pavement restoration will follow after a group of repairs have been completed. Repair locations in the Tree Section area will be completed first.
The contractor, Garcia Juarez Construction, Inc., will begin construction as early as August 15, 2011. During the construction period, a City representative will be available to provide assistance to residents/business owners and coordinate the work. Residents within the affected construction areas will be notified at least 72 hours in advance. The contractor will be permitted to work from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS Due to the nature of the work, traffic lane closures may be required on occasion, but at least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times. Parking restriction and street closure signs will be posted 72 hours prior at each location. The contractor is required to maintain access to residences; however, there may be times when access to some driveways is temporarily limited.
