T-shirt as Medium is a free day long mini-conference organized by artist Edith Abeyta in conjunction with the exhibition Kit and Caboodle at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center. Explore the infinite possibilities of this ubiquitous garment. T-shirts, supplies, equipment, artists, designers and speakers will be on hand to assist you to turn salvaged t-shirts into yarn, pillows, collages, bags or an upcycled fashion statement. Sewing machines, silk screens, ink, scissors, trim and stuffing are available for your garment transformation.
