CALL AND NOTICE OF A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING

TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MANHATTAN BEACH:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor has called a Special City Council Meeting of the City Council of the City of Manhattan Beach, California, to be held at Manhattan Beach City Hall, in the City Council Chambers Conference Room 1400 Highland Avenue, Manhattan Beach, California, 90266, at 4:30 PM on September 4, 2012, for the items listed below.  The agenda for the meeting is set forth below:

Please note that members of the public will be provided an opportunity to directly address the Board concerning any item described herein before consideration of that item.

E.        GRANICUS ELECTRONIC VOTING TRAINING

The Electronic Voting and Display Suite gives Councilmembers the ability to record motions and votes simultaneously as well as requests to speak.  It provides viewing of full agendas, supporting materials, the current item, speakers and vote results from the touch-screen display.  The City Clerk will be able to record City Council actions directly to ensure greater accuracy.  The audience will be able to view vote results on the overhead displays as well.
