Botanical Art
According to the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA), botanical art should “seek to understand the structure of plants and to communicate this knowledge to their audience in an aesthetically pleasing manner.” Their goals are to combine scientific study with artistic representation. This means that a botanical artist should present their subject in a highly detailed manner.

This exhibition is a collaboration with the Manhattan Beach Botanical Gardens. In addition to the botanical art exhibition being displayed at the Creative Arts Center, there will be botanical art classes offered at the Creative Arts Center, as well as composting and gardening classes offered in the Manhattan Beach Botanical Gardens located in Pollywog Park.
