On April 27, 2013, the Manhattan Beach Police Department (MBPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Medications will be accepted for disposal at MBPD and the service is free, anonymous, and no questions asked. The collection site will be located on the south side of the Police Department, along 13th Street (between Valley Drive and Morningside Drive).

The Manhattan Beach Police Department also offers daily medication drop-off, in a secure collection bin, which is located in the front lobby of the Police Department.
