The City of Manhattan Beach invites you to join us in turning off all non-essential lights in your home and/or business from 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM on March 29th as a part of a special event called “Lights Out America.” Government agencies, businesses and individuals across the Country are participating in this event to raise awareness about energy conservation. Sydney Australia provided the inspiration for this event where 2.2 million people participated for a one-hour lights out campaign and saved 25.86 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
