The Strand Wall Repair and Enhancement Project consists of the repair and enhancement of concrete retaining walls, along with sand blasting an artistic element at the following five locations along the Strand:

• Rosecrans Avenue

• 20th Street

• 18th Street

• 16th Street

• 14th Street

During construction, it will be necessary at times to limit stairway access to the beach at these locations. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The project duration is April 16, 2015 through May 29, 2015.    

• Construction vehicle will be staged on the Strand. 

• Barricades and signage will be placed on Strand and at the end of stairways to prevent pedestrians from entering the work area.

• Strand will remain open.

• No two consecutive stairways will be closed at any given time.

• There will be some noise while the work is being performed.
