Today's Thursday field trip is Disneyland.
Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp are open to the public and are designed for children ages 6 to 12 years old at Marine Avenue Park and Live Oak Park respectively. Children under six are welcome to attend the program but must be accompanied by an adult or guardian with the approval and guidance of the Recreation Leader. Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp are PAID FULL-CUSTODY programs. Children are encouraged to participate in all scheduled activities; however, if they choose not to, alternative independent activities are available. All programs are supervised by trained recreation leaders. Marine Camp is in conjunction with Live Oak Camp. The camps are limited to 80 campers each week!

All Registration must be done in advance and in person at the Parks and Recreation Department in City Hall, 1400 Highland Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please call (310) 802-5448 for trip availability. When registering, please designate which group your child would be more comfortable in:
- Adventure Group: fast and slow rides
- Explorer Group: slow rides only
Schedule of Events and Tips
- Registration confirmation for the field trip must be brought the day of the trip.
- Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp children registered for the field trip must arrive at Marine Park by 7:45 AM to be walked over to Manhattan Heights Park OR be dropped off at Manhattan Heights Park by 8:00 AM for the field trip.
- Children will return to Manhattan Heights Park by 6:00 PM. You may call (310) 802-5419 for return home time message on the day of the event.
- Children should bring a minimum of $15.00 to $20.00 for lunch and any other personal expenses.
Rules, Regulations and Cancelations
- Maximum of 80 participants.
- Ages 6 to 12 only.
- Parents or guardians are not permitted to attend the trips.
- If the trip is canceled by the Department, full refunds will be given and all park programs will be open.
- If the field trip is canceled, the Department will notify you by phone the Wednesday prior to the trip.
- The deadline to withdraw from a field trip is five business days prior to the trip date. (REFUNDS will not be given to any cancelations after the deadline.)
- All refunds granted are subject to an $18 administrative fee.
- There will be a ratio of one leader to eight or ten children per group
