Starting May 12th, work will begin in Sections 3 and 4 (areas bounded by Marine Avenue on the North, Artesia Boulevard on the South, Sepulveda Boulevard on the West and Aviation Boulevard on the East). In addition to these areas, work will also be performed on Poinsettia Avenue from 35th Street to Valley Drive. The project is scheduled to be completed within 30 working days. This contract is part of the City’s ongoing concrete repair and maintenance program. It has been over five years since large-scale repair work has been performed in these sections and there are many areas in need of attention. The concrete repair program addresses the routine and ongoing need to provide safe and conforming streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, along with upgrades such as the installation of new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access wheel chair ramps.
