Due to a sink hole located in front of the Metlox Plaza, City crews will be closing one westbound lane on Manhattan Beach Boulevard on Tuesday, July 15th, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Public Works personnel will insure that one westbound lane will be open at all times for traffic to proceed to the Downtown area.
The eastbound lanes of Manhattan Beach Boulevard will not be affected.
Parking on the north side of Manhattan Beach Boulevard between Valley Drive and Morningside Drive will be restricted while the work is taking place. Parking on the south side of Manhattan Beach Boulevard between Valley and Morningside will not be affected.
A steel plate has been placed over the sink hole temporarily until work can begin work on Tuesday morning. The sink hole will be repaired as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact the Public Works Department at (310) 802-5303 should you have any questions or require additional information.
