25th Annual National Night Out

National Night Out heightens crime prevention awareness, generates support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and sends a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Target Corporation is proud to be the exclusive National Sponsor of the 25th Annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. This sponsorship is part of the on-going support Target provides to local communities throughout the country. Since 1946, Target has given 5% of its income to the communities it serves. Today, that equals more than $3 million annually to support education, the arts, safe families, safe communities, and volunteerism.

Target also has a proud history of partnership with local law enforcement agencies. Through its Target & BLUE program, Target supports local law enforcement by sharing information, technology, and expertise while focusing on safeness issues that affect guests, team members, and communities.

Manhattan Beach Police Department supports National Night Out and invites the entire community to come learn about Crime Prevention, Bike and Skateboard Safety, Traffic Safety, Beach Safety, Emergency Preparedness, and how to prevent identity theft.  This is also an opportunity to meet the hard-working members of the Manhattan Beach Police Department and Manhattan Beach Fire Department who keep our community safe.
