"A Day Without a Bag" is an education and grassroots event coordinated by Heal the Bay that involves businesses and individuals throughout Los Angeles County.  On December 18th, holiday shoppers are asked to forgo single-use, plastic shopping bags in favor of reusable bags.  The short-term goal of the event is to raise consumer awareness about personal choice and sustainable practices.  The long-term goal of the event is to reduce the use of single-use bags throughout California.
