The class is an introduction to seven techniques of fundamental sumi-e Japanese brush painting. Continuing students are welcome for developing their brush painting skills. Instructor Beth Muir transforms her originals into greeting cards. To be sumi-e (black ink picture), a painting must be alive with the power to stir the hearts and emotions of all who see it.
