Remembering Gordy

Remembering Gordy Virtual WorkshopGet in the Pumpkin Race spirit as we virtually Remember Gordy! This workshop, we're bringing Gordy to life! Disclaimer - This is not an actual pumpkin racer, it is a display pumpkin. Art Supply Kits ($15) are available from the Parks and Recreation Department. You do not need to purchase an art kit to participate.

BUY AN ART SUPPLY KIT - Kits do NOT include: Medium sized pumpkin, hammer, black Sharpie pen. Those items will need to be purchased on your own. 


SUPPLY LIST

  • Medium sized pumpkin
  • Hammer
  • 3” thick nail
  • 4 – 2” wooden wheels
  • 4 – 3” dowels (for spokes inserted in the middle of the wheels. Most wheels have 3/8” holes. The dowel should be 3/8” in diameter to fit.)
  • 3/4 “ or 1” Flat Brush
  • ¼” Flat Brush
  • Small pointed brush
  • Water cup
  • Plastic lid or paper plate for paint palette
  • Black Sharpie Pen
  • Paints:
    • Purple
    • Yellow
    • Black
    • Optional: Green, light blue
