MANHATTAN BEACH RAINBOW CROSSWALK TO BE UNVEILED

The City of Manhattan Beach is unveiling the rainbow crosswalk at Manhattan Beach Boulevard and the Strand on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM. The event will feature a ribbon cutting and include official remarks by incoming Mayor Steve Napolitano as well as guest speakers.

“This event is a great opportunity for Manhattan Beach to honor and embrace all dimensions of diversity,” stated Mayor Hildy Stern. “By installing the rainbow crosswalk, the City is recognizing Manhattan Beach as a welcoming community that fosters a culture where all people, regardless of racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender or sexual identities feel valued, safe, and supported by their peers, educators, and community leaders.”

The City celebrates June 2022 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month and encourages residents to respect, honor, and celebrant a culture of inclusiveness and acceptance.
