A truly one-of-a-kind event is coming to Los Angeles this Earth Day. A new public art exhibit, titled “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet,” brings 60 super-sized globes to Exposition Park from April to July.
The event is even more special because it has contributions from Manhattan Beach residents and Girl Scouts! Jessica Reitz and Tania Hughes of Tomaro Architecture, working in partnership with Manhattan Beach Brownie Troop #8505, have created a globe to represent the positive impact that green architecture can have in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The Cool Globes make their debut on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony in Expo Park’s Rose Garden at 11:00 AM and will be on display through July 23rd. So plan a visit to Exposition Park to view the globes, and support Manhattan Beach’s efforts to protect our environment.
