Currently, the City of Manhattan Beach is working with Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering, Inc. to design upgrades to the existing Voorhees Wastewater Pump Station. The project involves rehabilitation of the existing sanitary sewer pump station including a new force main pipeline, wet well storage, submersible pumps, control instrumentation, and an emergency generator. This project was prioritized for replacement by the Sewer Master Plan due to age, capacity improvements, and system redundancy. This neighborhood improvement will ensure the long-term reliability of the sewer pump station.
