Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp: Beach Day

Today's activity is Beach Day

Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp are open to the public and are designed for children ages 6 to 12 years old at Marine Avenue Park and Live Oak Park respectively. Children under six are welcome to attend the program but must be accompanied by an adult or guardian with the approval and guidance of the Recreation Leader. Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp are PAID FULL-CUSTODY programs. Children are encouraged to participate in all scheduled activities; however, if they choose not to, alternative independent activities are available. All programs are supervised by trained recreation leaders. Marine Camp is in conjunction with Live Oak Camp. The camps are limited to 80 campers each week!

Beach Day
Location: End of Marine Street, located next to the lifeguard headquarters
Need to Bring: bathing suits, lunch, sunscreen, towel(s) and plenty of water

Both Marine Camp and Live Oak Camp participants will be able to enjoy a supervised day at the beach together. Children must be able to carry all of their own personal items.  No flotation devices are allowed at the beach. Other activities will be offered for all those whom do not want to go into the water. Spray sun screen is recommended; staff will spray sunscreen on children; however staff will not apply sunscreen lotion.

Time Schedule of Events
11:00 AM Bus pick up at Marine Camp
11:30 AM All parks participants arrive at Live Oak Park and start walking to the beach
12:00 PM Arrive at the beach 
3:30 PM Children will be taken out of the water for clean up
4:00 PM  Participants will start walking back to Live Oak Park; Marine Camp participants will take the bus back to their park
6:00 PM Marine Camp arrives at their park

*Recreation leaders will walk with the children to and from the beach.
