New Water Conservation Ordinance and Stage 2 Restrictions went into effect on JULY 2, 2009 and applies to everyone utilizing potable water in Manhattan Beach. Potable water is water that is immediately available for drinking.
Manhattan Beach City Council adopted a new Water Conservation Ordinance and activated Stage 2 Water Shortage Restrictions on June 2, 2009. Stage 2 Water Shortage Restrictions represents a 10% reduction in potable water use. Please note, reclaimed water use does not apply to Stage 2 restrictions.
