The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works is overseeing a project on the City’s greenbelt/jogging path that started on July 20, 2009, and will run for the next several weeks. The project involves the installation of a fiber-optic telemetry system that will run the length of the City. The County has contracted with Steiny and Company, Inc. to perform the work. The Contractor will make every effort to keep the greenbelt/jogging path open at all times. There may be occasions when partial closure of a portion of the path is necessary at specific locations; during these times the trail will be diverted to an adjacent walkway for a brief period. We will be receiving a weekly construction schedule from the Contractor, as well as regular updates, which we will pass along to keep you informed.
