On Saturday, October 24th, make this the year you take action against climate change. Join the South Bay Climate Action Group in a fun, family-friendly event to promote the number 350--the most important number you need to know.
Over 4500 communities in more than 174 countries have committed to take action against climate change and show their support for the 350 organization, and the goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 350 parts per million in the atmosphere. Manhattan Beach is proud to have been chosen as the site for the South Bay's 350 event.
The event is schedule from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, with a short rally starting at 3:00 PM. Volunteers will be asked to begin lining up at 3:30 PM, and at 3:50 PM we will collectively throw up our arms, and do the wave for ten minutes. Following the event we will be doing a beach cleanup, sponsored by Heal the Bay.
Come be part of this historic movement on Saturday, October 24th, and celebrate the International Day of Climate Action. To RSVP, or for more information, please visit the South Bay CAG website. We are making this event as accessible as possible with several free transportation options.
