The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF) has begun its Annual Appeal campaign to raise more than $4.1 million for 2010-2011. This year, MBEF is organizing a MBEF Pledge Day to encourage parents to donate or pledge by Thursday, November 12th. We will have teachers, administrators, MBEF Board members, and parent volunteers handing out and collecting donations and pledges at drop-off and pick-up times on November 12th at all five elementary schools and at the middle school. The event is to bring awareness to the entire parent community of the need for private donations, increase participation, and to give MBEF a good assessment of our progress toward reaching the $4.1 million goal.
