Thanksgiving Day is a holiday observed by Waste Management and Athens Services, and therefore a modified refuse and street sweeping service schedule will be implemented.
Refuse All residential collection from Thursday, November 27th & Friday, November 28thwill be delayed one day. Therefore, those who have scheduled refuse service on Thursday will have their trash, recycling, and green waste picked up on Friday; and those who have scheduled refuse service on Friday will have their trash, recycling, and green waste picked up on Saturday instead.
Street Sweeping
Residential street sweeping will not occur on Thursday, November 27th and will not be made up. All other route days will operate as usual. The Police Department will not enforce street sweeping parking restrictions on Thursday, November 27thdue to the Thanksgiving holiday.
