Alarm System Permit
In accordance with Manhattan Beach Municipal Code 3.56 any individual or business that has a functioning alarm system installed at their residence or place of business inside the City of Manhattan Beach must obtain an Alarm System Permit.
Animal License
All dogs 4 months or older must be licensed, as required by City Municipal Code. Cats may be licensed upon request, although the license is not required by the City.

Business License
The Manhattan Beach Municipal Code requires all businesses operating in the City to pay an annual business license tax. The business license tax year begins March 1st and ends the last day of February the following year.

Filming and Still Photography
The City's Finance Department administers and issues Film Permits for both motion picture and still photography engagements. The City is home to a major production studio and is an attractive site for film productions of many types. The City boasts a beautiful picturesque 3.8 square mile beach town with a breathtaking 2.1 mile oceanfront with a Pier and Roundhouse.
Moving Van Permit
A moving van permit is required for all moving vans making deliveries in the City. A moving van permit may be obtained online through the Citizen Self Service (CSS) portal.
Sound Amplification Permit
Every user of sound amplifying equipment on public or private property shall file an application with the Chief of Police at least ten (10) days prior to the date on which the sound amplifying equipment is to be used, pursuant to Manhattan Beach Municipal Code 5.48.

Street Banner
In accordance with Manhattan Beach Municipal Code 9.60.010 - all banners must first obtain a permit from the City Manager or the City Manager's designee before being hung. Banner permits shall be issued only for the purpose of publicizing City-sponsored and co-sponsored events and City funded-events.
