In emergency medical situations, one of the greatest obstacles facing Paramedics is a lack of information regarding the medical history, medical conditions, and prescribed medications for the patient requiring emergency treatment.

The “Envelope of Life” is a program designed to provide emergency medical personnel with essential medical information for the patients they are treating. This program has proven to be of great benefit in the proper emergency care of the sick and injured. The Fire Department endorses the concept of the “Envelope of Life” program, and is supportive of the efforts of the Neptunian Women’s Club in implementing it in our community.
