City Hall is open regularly, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. City Hall will be closed in observance of the following legal holidays listed below. The City Calendar will state the specific dates City Hall will be closed.
What if There is an Emergency and City Offices are closed?
- If it is a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911.
- If it is a non-life-threatening emergency please call Police Dispatch (310) 545-4566 to report the emergency and stand-by City staff will be available to respond as necessary.

While City Hall is closed, online services, such as class registration, account management and bill pay, are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week through the City's website or the City app, Reach Manhattan Beach for Apple or Android devices to access City services anytime, anywhere.
Additional assistance for city services may also be obtained via the online FAQ Database/Service Request System or you may scroll down to learn about street sweeping and refuse services during holidays. Emergency services are not affected by this schedule and remain accessible at any time.

Street Sweeping
There will be no street sweeping on the following holidays:
- New Years Day, January 1st
- Memorial Day, last Monday in May
- Independence Day, July 4th
- Labor Day, first Monday in September
- Thanksgiving Day, fourth Thursday in November
- Christmas Day, December 25th
On days City Hall is closed for City-recognized holidays, street sweeping will occur, but street sweeping parking enforcement citations will not be issued.

Refuse (Trash/Recycling)
The following holidays are observed by Waste Management (WM) and no refuse pick-up will occur on the following holidays:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
Changes will be made to the collection schedule if a WM-observed holiday falls on a weekday (Monday - Friday). If your regular collection day falls on or after one of the weekday holidays, your refuse and recyclables will be picked up the following day.
If the WM-observed holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, no changes will be made to the residential collection schedule. Additional information can be found on the Trash and Recycling Holiday Schedule webpage.
