The dedicated men and women of this Police Department are an integral part of this community, and the community is an integral part of the Police Department. We count on each other to keep this community safe and to work on quality of life issues so that its residents love living here, businesses thrive, and visitors enjoy their stay.

We are constantly trying to enhance the way we communicate with our community and welcome any feedback you have. You can receive text and email messages directly from the Manhattan Beach Police Department regarding critical incidents and public safety news by signing up for Everbridge (formerly Nixle), a Community Notification System.  Sign up here.

The partnership between the PoliceSign Up for News and Alerts and the community, which includes our fantastic Neighborhood Watch program, epitomizes the best in community policing. We have one of the most active Neighborhood Watch programs in the nation, with nearly 500 residents currently participating as Neighborhood Watch block captains, covering the majority of our four square miles.
