Manhattan Beach, the city of “Sun, Sand, and Sea” is an exciting and beautiful beach community located in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. Incorporated in 1912, the City’s population is approximately 35,000.
Encompassing over two miles of beachfront, Manhattan Beach is an active and vibrant city year around – hosting high profile events such as the nationally televised Manhattan Beach Open Volleyball Tournament, Grand Prix Bike Race, surfing contests, and many other festivals and events. It is also home to movie studios and a number of fine dining and shopping establishments.

With opportunities ranging from Beach Patrol and K-9 to Detective and C.S.I., every day is fresh and exciting. What’s more, we pay you to train. You will complete formal, comprehensive California Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Certified Basic Academy training program in the first six (6) months of employment. Trainees receive instruction on a variety of topics, including criminal law, firearms, arrest and control techniques, community relations, traffic enforcement, and first aid. The course is both mentally and physically demanding.
Upon satisfactory completion of training and graduation from the Academy, you will be sworn in as a Police Officer with full police authority.
