Earth Hour 2015

Power Down for the Planet

  • Date: 03/28/2015 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM
  • Location: Global
    Manhattan Beach, California 90266

Earth Hour bannerFor the past seven years, the City of Manhattan Beach has been a strong supporter of Earth Hour, a global event led by the World Wildlife Fund. Each year, the historic Manhattan Beach Pier goes dark for one hour to show support for this climate awareness movement.

The City is not hosting a community event at the Pier this year, but encourages citizens to take individual action and participate by turning off all non-essential lights in your home and/or business from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, March 28th as a part of Earth Hour 2015.

Several local businesses are supporting the initiative, with many offering special incentives for Earth Hour. The details are below, and in the Earth Hour flyer (PDF) which you can share with your family and friends.
