Composting Made Easy

Free Class at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden

Composting is nature’s way of recycling food and yard waste into valuable and free organic fertilizer for your garden. Learn simple techniques in this one hour workshop. All levels of composting experience are welcome!

Composting classes are hosted by Waste Management as part of the contract agreement with the City. Additional composting workshops will take place in 2015. Discount compost and worm bins may be purchased for $35 each by Manhattan Beach residents at the class, or by contacting Waste Management directly at (310) 830-7100.

This free class is located in the Amphitheater in the center of the Botanical Garden, on the west side of Polliwog Park. Free Parking next to the Botanical Garden on Peck Avenue, or the adjacent lot at the end of Peck Avenue off Manhattan Beach Boulevard.
