Waste Management, as part of their franchise agreement with the City of Manhattan Beach, is hosting a Document Shredding Event for Manhattan Beach community members on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Manhattan Beach Middle School parking lot (1501 N. Redondo Ave, MB 90266).
DOCUMENT SHREDDING & E-WASTE RECYCLING EVENT FLYER
On-Site Shredding
On-site shredding services are provided FREE to all MB residents and businesses for the first three boxes and $5.00 for each additional box (10x12x15). $5 per box for non MB residents. Documents will be shredded on-site on a first come, first served basis. Once the on-site shredding truck is full, it will leave the event. A secondary truck will be available the entire event to collect documents for secure off-site shredding.
Off-Site Shredding
A second truck will be available the entire event (11am-4pm) to collect documents for secure off-site shredding. The first three boxes are free, and $5.00 for each additional box (10x12x15).
E-Waste Recycling
Community members can also drop-off Electronic Waste for recycling at the event. Electronic Waste is generally anything with a plug or internal battery such as: fax machines, electronic games, video game consoles, cell phones, televisions (including plasma and LCD), DVD players, computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, VCRs, PDAs, pagers, computer software, disks, laptop computers, photocopiers, scanners, stereos, radios, MP3 players, iPods, telephones, answering machines, etc.
(Batteries NOT accepted)
NOTE: E-Waste recycling is free and available to Manhattan Beach residents year-round at the curb on collection day (call Waste Management to schedule an E-Waste pick-up).

Call Waste Management at (310) 830-7100 to schedule a pick-up on your regular collection day. 3 visits to each residence annually at no additional charge (limit 3 items per visit for a total of 9 items per year).
Temporary Bin Rental: Doing a garage clean-out? Moving? Updating the landscape? Manhattan Beach residents can rent a temporary bin for 10 days with pricing exclusive to Manhattan Beach residents through the franchise agreement. This pricing is not reserved for permitted-construction & demolition project waste. Call Waste Management at (310) 830-7100 to order the rental bin.
Donations: Manhattan Beach Goodwill accepts donations of gently used items that may be resold. They are located at 1145 W. Artesia Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Visit their website for more information.
