On Wednesday, November 9, the Neighborhood Watch program of MBPD invites residents of Manhattan Beach to our bi-annual meeting about crime in the City and the Neighborhood Watch program.
Residents will hear from Neighborhood Watch Director Charlotte Lesser, Chief of Police Eve R. Irvine, meet the new Community Affairs team of Sergeant Tim Zins and Officer Kristie Colombo, and say good-bye to Officer Stephanie Martin and Neighborhood Watch Co-Director Millie Newton.
The meeting will be held from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the Manhattan Heights Auditorium (1600 Manhattan Beach Blvd.) Stop by a few minutes early to check in, chat with MBPD staff, and visit our information tables.
Residents, who have an interest in learning more about Neighborhood Watch and how to join with the hundreds of others in the prevention of crime, are welcomed and encouraged to attend. For over 30 years, Neighborhood Watch has worked to involve the community in home safety education and deterring crime.
The Neighborhood Watch program is always looking for new block captains to help “Paint the Town Orange” and fill the areas which do not have a block captain. A block captain is essential to the continued success of the Neighborhood Watch program and communication between the residents and the police department.
