Refuse
There will be NO CHANGES to the refuse (trash, recycling & organics waste) collection schedule since Christmas Day 2016 falls on a Sunday. All Waste Management routes will operate as normal.
Holiday trees can be placed at the curb for recycling on a residents' regular collection day from December 26, 2016 - January 14, 2017. Trees must be no longer than 7 feet in length and all decorations, lights, tinsel, and stands must be removed prior to placing it at the curb for recycling.

Street Sweeping
Athens will be observing Christmas on Monday, December 26, 2016. No street sweeping will occur on Monday, December 26, 2016 and the route will not be made up. If you have questions regarding your street sweeping service please contact Athens Services at (888) 336-6100. Check out all the holidays observed by Athens Services which will affect service days.
The Police Department will not ticket for street sweeping on Monday, December 26, 2016.
