Modified Refuse and Street Sweeping Schedule

Thanksgiving 2016

Introduction: In observance of Thanksgiving Day, a modified Refuse and Street Sweeping schedule will be in place.

Thanksgiving Day is a holiday observed by both Waste Management (Refuse) and Athens Services (Street Sweeping). Therefore, a modified refuse and street sweeping schedule will be in place.

Refuse

Because Thanksgiving Day falls on a Thursday, residential refuse service will be delayed 1 day for Thursday (11/24) and Friday (11/25) routes only. Therefore, Thursday's route will be collected on Friday, and Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday.

If you have questions regarding your refuse service please contact Waste Management directly at (310) 830-7100. Check out all the holidays observed by Waste Management which will affect service days.

Street Sweeping

Street sweeping will not take place on Thursday, November 24, 2016 and will not be made up. All other routes will operate as normal.

If you have questions regarding your street sweeping service please contact Athens Services at (888) 336-6100. Check out all the holidays observed by Athens Services which will affect service days.

The Police Department will not issue parking violations related to street sweeping on Thursday, November 24, 2016.
