Calling All Artists for the Why City Hall Art Exhibition!
The Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation Department's Cultural Arts Division is looking for artists of all ages to submit their entries for the 2017 Why art exhibition.
Theme: Original artwork that depicts what people love about Manhattan Beach
Exhibition Dates: February 21 through March 16, 2017
Exhibition Location: Manhattan Beach City Hall, 1400 Highland Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Entry Rules:
- Artists of all ages who are Manhattan Beach residents, students attending a Manhattan Beach school, or enrolled in a Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation art class can participate.
- Limit 1 submission per artist.
- Artwork can be in any 2-dimensional medium, and no more than 2 feet by 2 feet in size.
- The exhibition theme is, “What people love about Manhattan Beach,” and submissions should reflect this theme.
- This will be a juried show.
- Submission of artwork does not guarantee that it will be physically exhibited at City Hall.
- All submissions will be displayed in digital format on the city’s website.
- DEADLINE: January 24, 2017. All entries must be received by this date, no exceptions.
LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
How to Submit:
Please note, if selected to physically display your artwork, you will be notified to deliver your "hang ready" artwork Monday, February 13th through Tuesday, February 14th, during City Hall hours 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
