StART Projects Art Exhibition: There Is No Pretense Here
Exhibition Dates: May 19, 2017 through May 21, 2017
Opening Reception: Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

The exhibition, There Is No Pretense Here, is a cumulative show displaying art by students who participated in StART Projects. The program was designed for students to develop an art practice outside of academia in a studio environment.

For six months the students have been on a journey that demanded dedication, time and hard work. They have learned to develop conceptual ideas and transform them into objects or images. The students explored diverse subject that range from environmental issues to character design. Each artist has a unique interpretation and expression of what it means to make art. The exhibition and catalogue show the achievements and collective energy of the students.
