Do you have 20/20 vision? Can you see the future of Manhattan Beach?
Join us at the Manhattan Beach Community Budget Social (PDF) on Tuesday, January 30th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Joslyn Community Center for an interactive look at the City's financial resources.
Learn what's already on the horizon and tell us about your priorities as we develop the budget for fiscal years 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.
We'll take you through the different City departments and programs that impact your day-to-day life and get feedback on how you think money should be distributed throughout the City.
This exercise will allow residents to speak with City staff who run these programs and find out more about what goes into keeping our water clean, coordinating art shows and keeping our community safe! Then, residents will be invited to show where they think more or less resources should be spent.
For those unable to attend, the meeting will be broadcast live online, as well as on the local government channels (Spectrum Channel 8, Frontier channel 35). Residents are also invited to take a Budget Priorities Survey online to provide more direction on the community's current and future needs.
Join the conversation at our Community Budget Social! Food will be provided, so please RSVP to budget@citymb.info. For more information about the City's budget process, visit www.citymb.info/budget.
