Waste Management, as part of their franchise agreement with the City of Manhattan Beach, is hosting a Document Shredding Event for Manhattan Beach community members on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Mira Costa High School Parking Lot (1401 Artesia Blvd, MB 90266 at the corner of Artesia Blvd. and Peck Ave.). All shredded paper will be recycled.
Shredding services are provided FREE to all Manhattan Beach residents and businesses for the first three boxes, and $5.00 for each additional box (10x12x15). This event is open to residents and businesses of Manhattan Beach only.
FREE On-Site Shredding
On-site shredding of documents will be on a first come, first served basis. Once the on-site shredding truck is full, it will leave the event. A secondary truck will be available the entire event to collect documents for secure off-site shredding.
FREE Off-Site Shredding
A second truck will be available the entire event (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM) to collect documents for secure off-site shredding.

If you prefer a drive-thru HHW service, visit the SAFE Collection Center at Hyperion Treatment Plant on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. No additional charge. 7660 West Imperial Hwy, Gate B, Playa Del Rey.
Pharmaceuticals: All unwanted/expired pharmaceuticals accepted.
Drug Drop-Off Box located inside the Police/Fire Facility Lobby at 420 15th St. No additional charge. Lobby open 24/7.
Bulky Item Pick-Up: Items too large for the trash such as furniture, mattresses, large appliances, etc.
Call Waste Management at (310) 830-7100 to schedule a pick-up on your regular collection day. 3 visits to each residence annually at no additional charge (limit 3 items per visit for a total of 9 items per year). Businesses can also receive bulky-item collection service, but there is a nominal fee - contact Waste Management with questions and to schedule a pick-up.
Temporary Bin Rental: Doing a garage clean-out? Moving? Updating the landscape? Manhattan Beach residents can rent a temporary bin for 10 days with pricing exclusive to Manhattan Beach residents through the franchise agreement. This pricing is not reserved for permitted-construction & demolition project waste. Call Waste Management at (310) 830-7100 to order the rental bin.
Donations: Manhattan Beach Goodwill accepts donations of gently used items that may be resold. They are located at 1145 W. Artesia Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Visit their website for more information.
