On September 25, 2018, construction began on a gas main relocation project along Manhattan Beach Blvd, east of the intersection of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Ardmore Avenue. The project involves trenching and pavement restoration work that will continue through November 9, 2018. Construction will be ongoing Monday - Friday, from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM. During these hours, the right-shoulder westbound lane of Manhattan Beach Boulevard will be
closed from Fisher Avenue to Ardmore Avenue. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to take alternative routes.
This pipeline relocation work was requested by the City of Manhattan Beach, and the Southern California Gas Company is contracting the work. The project will relocate approximately 300 feet of 4” steel main in conjunction with the City’s current Sewer Line Capital Improvement Project.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City’s Project Inspector, Carl Blank, via telephone (310) 802-5306 or email, cblank@citymb.info.
