The City of Manhattan Beach in partnership with Waste Management is offering a FREE one-hour backyard composting workshop on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 AM at the Manhattan Beach Botanical Garden (located at the southwest corner of Polliwog Park). All are welcome to attend!
We'll show you the right way to set up a composting bin or a worm bin, and how simple it is to recycle many organic materials right in your own backyard. The workshop will also include instruction on participating in the City's curbside food scrap recycling program. The session will conclude with a time for Q & A. Composting and worm bins will be available for purchase for Manhattan Beach residents only at the event for $35 (cash or checks accepted, please bring proof of residency).
