Over time, daily street sweeping and sand can erode the concrete surface of The Strand and make it smoother.  In order to properly maintain and improve the concrete, it must be resurfaced from time to time.  

Beginning, Monday, May 6, 2019, the City's contractor will resurface the concrete along the entire length of The Strand. Please be aware that the work will be noisy, as it will involve jack hammering and construction trucks and equipment moving along The Strand.  Construction is expected to be complete by Friday, May 17, 2019.  Every precaution will be taken to ensure the protection of pedestrians and adjacent residential properties while the work is underway.
