This meeting has been cancelled in response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition, the City of Manhattan Beach has closed the Joslyn Community Center and cancelled all Older Adult Programming until the further notice. This action is taken out of an abundance of caution, and to protect the health and safety of the public, and older adults in particular that are vulnerable to COVID-19. In addition, following Governor Gavin Newsom’s recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19, the City has postponed or cancelled special events with large public gatherings until further notice. The nine-member Senior Advisory Committee works in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department’s Older Adults Program to make recommendations regarding the delivery of senior programs, activities and policies.
