The class objectives are to provide information that: answers questions such as do you need a will, a living trust, neither or both? Explains the probate process, by addressing time, expenses and issues. Advises on available probate avoidance options that can only be addressed during life. Discusses the impact of various taxes on estates. Discusses and reviews the changes to planned giving that have resulted from the new Prop 19 law. Brad Baker is currently on H.E.L.P.’s Board of Advisors. H.E.L.P. is an education and counseling center for seniors and their families on elder care issues and is located in Old Torrance.
