Manhattan Beach Open by AVP
The 2021 MBO Beach Volleyball tournament will be August 18, 2021 to August 22, 2021.

After a year without a packed pier and Walk of Fame celebrations, the granddaddy of them all makes its triumphant return to the beach. Reigning as the epicenter of our sport, the AVP Gold Series, Manhattan Beach Open reclaims its throne with the promise of solidifying four athletes into the history of beach volleyball on the Manhattan Beach Pier. Packed with decorated Olympians and former event champions, this is guaranteed to be a momentous and historic event for all fans.

Face coverings required at all times (unless actively eating or drinking) while attending event per the County of Los Angeles Public Health Order issued on Monday, August 16, 2021. 

Tickets: General admission is free but fans can select from a variety of ticket options for an elevated experience. Get more information on tickets and ticket sales by visiting the MBO by AVP website.

Event Format: Main Draw is 24 teams – 10 receiving automatic bids based on AVP ranking, 2 Wild Card bids from the AVP, 8 receiving Wild Card bids from the AVPNext circuit, and 4 bids from the Qualifier.

Prize Purse: $250,000

Qualifier Information: The Qualifier is a two-day tournament with a cap of 77 teams for entry. This is a single-elimination tournament, broken into two phases. More information on Qualifier structure and entry qualifications can be found on the website’s “Athlete Corner.”
