The Public Hearing for the Proposition 218 Water Rates process will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 during the City Council's regular Council Meeting at 1400 Highland Avenue in the City Council Chambers. The City of Manhattan Beach hired consultant Raftelis to conduct a Water Rate Study and presented the analysis at the City Council meeting on April 5, 2022. City Council adopted Resolution No. 22-0043 to initiate the Proposition 218 process and . Proposition 218 is a required process in California to provide property owners and rate payers an opportunity to protest proposed rate increases.

The protest period began on April 15, 2022 and concludes at the end of the Public Hearing on June 7, 2022 at the City Council meeting. To file a protest, follow the instructions on the Proposition 218 notice.
