Opening Reception: Friday, April 21 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
This April 21, join the Manhattan Beach Art Center and Gallery 208 in celebrating surf culture beyond the surface. The two concurrent exhibitions, Swell (at the Manhattan Beach Art Center) and Hot Batch (at gallery 208), will present artworks that are inspired in some measure by surfing. An exploration of the broader cultural context, craftsmanship, and artistry of surfing will underpin the curation at both venues. Please join us for the exhibition openings on Friday, April 21 starting at the Manhattan Beach Art Center (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) and then continuing at Gallery 208 (7:00 PM to 10:00 PM).
