Calling all Manhattan Beach park lovers and enthusiasts! July is National Park and Recreation Month and the City is celebrating the vital role parks play in bringing people together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of our communities. The City of Manhattan Beach’s Parks and Rec Department is launching a photo contest from July 5th through July 31st. Photo contest is open to everyone that lives, works, or plays in Manhattan Beach. Submissions will be awarded prizes including Manhattan Beach gear. An esteemed panel of local professionals and dignitaries will select top submissions for awards and promotion on the City’s social media channels and website.

Community members are encouraged to submit photographs from the City’s beloved parks including:
Veterans Parkway
Live Oak Park
Manhattan Heights Park
Marine Avenue Park
Polliwog Park
Sand Dune Park
Bruce’s Beach
8th Street Parkette
Larsson Street Parkette
Manhattan Village Park
Images can be submitted via the city’s website www.manhattanbeach.gov/photocontest
Photo submissions should include entry name, entrant’s name, phone, email, where the photo was taken, consent for photo to be used by the City on website, social and other channels. Five photo submission limit per person.
