On April 11, 2023, the Community Development Department received an application requesting a CDP to allow the demolition of an existing single-family residence, and the construction of a new-single family residence located at 3212 The Strand.
In accordance with the above MBLCP provision, prior to rendering a decision on this CDP, City staff published a notice in the Beach Reporter and mailed said notice to all property owners and occupants within a 100-foot radius of the project site on February 29, 2024. Prior to the conclusion of the 15 working-day period for public comments and/or requests for public hearing, a request for public hearing was submitted to the Community Development Department (included as Attachment E to this staff report). As such, the Community Development Director shall consider this request at a duly noticed public hearing, prior to rendering a decision on the application.
